I had the opportunity to work with Emma on total renovation of a historic house recently. Emma is a gem to work with. She has a fantastic eye and her network of contacts came in handy when trying to narrow down the myriad choices for design items that are out there. She's knows what is available and where to find it. Emma managed to understand my vision for the house and was able to help me articulate that vision in everything from tile choices, to hardware, to lighting. Emma is also an artist. Emma was able to provide my suppliers and contractors with water colors or drawings whenever I was having difficulty explaining how I wanted things to look. Getting these drawings were a godsend in that they ensured everyone was on the same page. Not all designers will do this. Some create "look boards" etc., but seeing a painting of what your kitchen will look like in the end, was far better than any look board I've seen. I'd also add that we had no mistakes. Emma did all the elevation drawings for the kitchen, built-ins, baths etc. and for a job this size, it's a miracle we didn't have any issues! I would highly recommend Emma and would definitely hire her for any other designs jobs I have in the future.

We had the fortune to have our paths cross with Emma as part of a home reno show! We have never worked with a designer before and now can't imagine doing a reno again without one. My wife and I are still finding new things to appreciate from Emma's design. Things like certain colors that show up in different rooms creates a cohesiveness and flow throughout our main space that we could not have envisioned ourselves. We are looking forward to working with her in the future and can't tell enough people about the incredible space she created for us!

We have had the pleasure of working with Whiting Young Interior Design for many years on many different projects. Emma has shown her versatility by adapting to the wide variety of styles and challenges that the projects that we have worked together have presented. My family has had a wonderful experience with Emma Whiting at Whiting Young Interior Design. As busy professionals we had limited time and she made things easy for us by bringing samples to our home. She has excellent taste and nailed the look we were going for pretty quickly. Our project is a second story addition, and Emma also impressed us by coming up with a great layout for the second floor -- one that had not occurred to our family when we were initially trying to sketch out plans. Her turnaround was very quick and she has great industry connections to help steer clients to potential builders and suppliers. We highly recommend Emma!
